(from Stefan Schulze) Giotto Bizzarrini, Alan Mertens of Galmer engineering, as well as Mr. Gallahan of Arbitrage.com have brought back a legend in co-operation with First Signal. The Bizzarrini p538 Prototype is revealed shortly before its completion in early June. A small series production is planned for both the Speedster and a GT (Hardtop) version. The complete understructure and outer hull are made from carbon fiber, likewise the crashbox in connection with the interior. The 7 liter Chevrolet LS7 carries 505 HP out (without loading) and sits in a lattice tubing framework directly behind the driver. With a total weight desired between 1000Kg and 1200kg, the road performance will be at the supercar level.
Giotto Bizzarrini is a living legend in the sports car range. As engineer and designer, he took part in the creation of not only the most valuable Ferrari, the Ferrari 250 GTO, but also helped create the famous Lamborghini Miura. His own sports car company developed such memorable vehicles as the GT 5300 and the p538. The Scuderia Bizzarrini Livorno p538 Barchetta is a redesign from my hand after the collecting mains of the Bizzarrini p538 of 1967. Here I would like to thank Kevin Gallahan and his brother Patrick for their confidence in my abilities, likewise thanking Mr. Bizzarrini who gave me the green light for the design. Thus I may say officially:
“Bizzarrini p538 designed by Stefan Schulze “.
